Not really. The resistance Trump media that makes money is all standard Dem shyt. TYT made money being to the left of the Democratic Party and critiquing them from the left. Cenk literally got a job at MSNBC being that sort of person. This was especially true during the 2015/16 primary. They never figured out how to be difference makers when Republicans are in power. The Justice Democrats stuff they backed failed. Cenk had that stupid stunt of running for office and he even talked about running for president. All of that shyt was to rally the left and get attention from that crowd. None of that shyt worked because they don’t have the financial backing or dollars to make a dent and they’re not really embedded in any communities. They’re not organizations nor DC veterans. Cenk was crying about why aren’t they on Netflix.

It’s not that complicated - they recognize their shrinking influence as their college-aged fans grew up and don’t watch the network and gen z took to streamers and TikTok. So they’re trying to do the same thing Krystal Ball and old boy did with the Hill that made them a lot of money. They played the same populist game that “went beyond left and right.” Cenk and Ana are trying to follow their playbook. It’s literally the same thing.

Based on cenks history he’s done quite a bit of “changing”. One could argue based on his history of being a McCain voting republican he’s just going back home. I’d argue he hasn’t changed at all, he’s doing what he’s always done, told people what they want to hear to get money from them. This all feels like it’s coming down to a crusade to prove the point that you’re actually better and smarter than every other person to the left of you or even being mad that there are people to the left of you and trying to fight some internet fight from 2015 and be “right” and “saw through it.” Because you god damn well that no “all star” here latches on to any person or politician and it was those sort of people checking TYT on criminal justice and other issues that had them in their feelings - especially Ana. But for whatever reason you view them as some sort of infallible bastion of the progressive movement and that by undermining them you will undermine the left when they’ve been largely irrelevant and have been since 2020. What do they do now has no bearing on what they represented back when progressive voices didn’t have different avenues to get their voices out. Similar to Bill Maher - the times pass people by.

I guess my first question would be are you considering yourself to be an “all star” because the whole second paragraph is false. We had dudes on here daily touting him and others as the only truth tellers in media and doing exactly what you are saying, shytting on other people for not watching/listening to them. He went from voting for McCain to being a stalwart progressive to being a great value OANN. Maybe he never was what you thought in the first place.
