Why do yall even care so much about illegal immigrants? The system is rigged so many can't get here legally because they're poor and they come here and do a lot of the jobs Americans want done but don't want to do. Someone without papers isn't taking a great job away from a legal citizen. Undocumented people are an economic problem because they also take on factory jobs and are used to bust unions. (Not too dissimilar to black labor at the turn of the 20th century in the north)

The issue isn’t the undocumented persons, but the businesses who use them. We should be advocating for these people to find a pathway to legal status so they can’t be victimized and used as weapons against workers.

They are taking very low level jobs. They aren't even at the high school diploma level of workers. If you're in the workforce and you don't even have a high school diploma you can't tell me you're getting a good desirable well paying job. They're getting exploited themselves. Their value is mostly being an abled bodied human that can do grueling manual labor task not yet replaced be a machine.

The low level jobs you are thinking of are in hospitality.

If you're in the workforce and you don't even have a high school diploma you can't tell me you're getting a good desirable well paying job

I didn’t say the jobs were well paying and companies use them to businesses wages.

My point is there is an economic reason people don’t want undocumented people. It’s not what they say about the government giving them “support,” but that there are second jobs people may want to get to make ends meet but can’t.

For me, I’d punish the businesses over the uncounted people and set up a clear pathway to documented status so that all workers aren’t punished for working.
