Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) is still not very interested in a domestic blockbuster with IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (34-0, 25KOs).
Khan is trying to land WBC/WBO/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
He is not impressed with Brook's level of competition, stating that he won a close decision over Shawn Porter that could have gone the other way.
Brook is likely returning on September 12th as well, against former champion Brandon Rios.
“I am not fighting Kell Brook and that’s the end of it. Eddie Hearn and Kell has been very disrespectful, trying to fool the public, using my name to keep his fighter relevant in the media,” Khan said to The National.
“What has Kell done? He’s fought bums his entire career, went to the US, won a fight against Shawn Porter, which was a very close fight and many thought he lost that fight. He is fighting unknown fighters like Jo Jo Dan and Frankie Gavin, and I am fighting top-10 fighters and world champions.
“Why should I give him a payday? Our fight will only happen if he goes on and fights two or three top boxers and beats them, then I am here and he will get his fight.”

Khan treating Brook like Floyd treats him
He's right though, looking at Kell Brook's resume, his opponents combined win-loss record at the time of their fight with Brook was 719-995
The Shawn Porter fight was a good W...but we need to see him in with consistent RING Top 10 opponents at the time of their fights. Only person he has is Porter.
