British fighter Amir Khan has announced he has signed a contract that could see him fight WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the new year.

The 27-year-old, a former world champion and 2004 Olympic silver medallist, is waiting to learn whether Mayweather wants the fight.

The showdown could happen in Las Vegas on May 3, and Khan said on the Daily Mail website: "I am the one who signed the contract, I've signed my part of the contract, they've not signed theirs.

"If he wants to fight Amir Khan then he should sign it."

Floyd vs Khan:heh:

I knew it:manny:

If he wants to face someone I've beaten then so be it." said Khan on Mayweather v Maidana. "He wants to fight someone who makes him look good, but styles make fights," he added.

First, Amir Khan had to eat Andriy Kotelnik's leftovers. Then Devon Alexander had to eat Amir Khan's leftovers. Now you telling me that Floyd has to eat Devon Alexander's leftovers?:what:

:heh:

:smugfloyd:

Seriously though, Floyd vs Khan....let's go. It's the more entertaining fight anyways:yeshrug:

It might be more entertaining but Chino is more of a threat, I rather see the threat.

Khan acting like he undefeated talking about "If he wants to face someone I've beaten, then so be it":dead:

Like Breidis Prescott couldnt say the same thing to Floyd about Khan:heh:

Like Danny Garcia couldnt say the same thing to Floyd about Khan:russ:

Like PEDerson couldnt.....nah, he really couldnt because he cheated, but you get the point:ohlawd:

Khan always be talking big until he gets in there and gets rocked. It's hilarious everytime.

First off blehhhhhhh I just threw ip in mymouth a little but second I'm calling bullshyt ! Espinosa just did a interview the other day saying Floyd isn't deciding on his next opponent until the middle to end of January! Plus I find it hard to believe that Floyd would allow somebody else to announce who he's fighting next

There are only so many Floyd fights left, so if you're looking at trying to get one of those paydays, then I'm not really mad at Khan for trying to talk his way into one.

If GBP gave Khan a contract and he signed it, that doesnt mean that Floyd still doesnt have until the end of January to decide who he's fighting. He can sit on the contract and wait until he makes up his mind:manny:

I bet Con wrote that shyt himself on a fukking napkin
:dead:

It's just funny that he would say, if Floyd wants to fight someone I beat already.....like he wasnt hanging on for dear life the last couple rounds against the "old" Maidana.

Garcia's Maidana would get Hunter's Khan outta there in a hurry:russ:

For all the hate this fight is going to get :ehh:, Ill watch it. (think he ko's Khan when he turns it up in later rounds} It's a great business move for Floyd, a winnable fight that counts towards his contract. Stretch that portfolio breh.
