America is known to bring people from abroad and give them the high paying jobs. So while those breakthroughs happen in the US, they're not from us born citizens.

Anyways, the problem is Americans are obsessed with Hollywood, celebrity status and making quick money fast. Their culture revolves in making and spending money. There's no time to educate, no reason to better yourself. It's an ongoing cycle and since the us economy is obsessed with capitalism, it's unlikely that this culture will change
