season 2 of chicago starts tonight

I watched a bit of the New York one, it was pretty good. I'm really interested in the Chicago one, since they were heavy in Vegas. Should have some interesting stories.

Chicago has needed something for years. All people know is Capone. They need to tell the Accardo and Giancana stories. Chicagos mafia reached the White House, Cuba and oversaw everything west of Chi. Why Scorsese never told the Chicago story baffles me.

he did, but only a small part of it in "Casino".

Pesci's role was after Tony "the ant" Spilotro, and he was one scary little mothafugga :dame:
That's the extent of it. Chicago needs a full work up.

I agree, and it was basically the end of the Mob run in Vegas. I thought "Casino" could have used more attention to the hole in the wall gang vs. the Ace/Ginger part... but that was the story that was told (one of my favorite movies too). The book "Culotta" is a good one to read, and details some of those guys in the gang as well, and that still only covers a small part of a crew involved with the Outfit.

But on top of that, the different boss personalities from the Outfit would make a great series of movies i think.

I'm surprised Giancana hadn't been done. He's got Hollywood all over him from the JFK/Marilyn and Cuba shyt.
I'd personally would love to see an Accardo movie. Dude ran it for decades even when he let other guys fill the boss role.
A movie about Mad Sam Destafano would be :merchant:

There's Joey Aiuppa too... just a lot of different personalities. Destafano would be a great subject for a movie.

Aiuppa never struck me as interesting, he was only there cuz Accardo let him :yeshrug:

I think he's pretty interesting, though it'd be somewhat of a standard Mob stories. But he'd cover a large time period, from Capone, through the Vegas stuff, the Giancana murder..etc.
