Speaking with TMZ, Rose said: “I was literally trolling.”
“I troll with my friends all the time. I did not think that was going to be international news. I love Beyonce. I know Beyonce. We’ve hung out a few times…. but I was low-key trolling.” She added, “I was literally joking.”
We reported earlier that Queen Bey endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris during a campaign rally in Houston Friday. The superstar told the crowd. “I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother,” she said. “A mother who cares deeply about the world my children and all of our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we’re not divided.”
Amber Rose turned to social media after Bey’s rally appearance and accused the songstress of “stealing” her RNC speech. The mother of two said, “She wanna be me so bad. Literally took my whole speech.”
It’s worth noting that there are some similarities; both Rose and Beyoncé discussed motherhood and how it influenced their choice of president. In her speech, Bey said, “Imagine our daughters growing up seeing what’s possible with no ceilings, no limitations. We must vote, and we need you.”
As Hip Hop Wired reports, Rose said in her RNC speech, “My whole world revolves around providing for my children, keeping them safe, and giving them an opportunity for a better life.”
“That’s something that unites all American parents, whether we’re Republicans, Democrats, Conservatives, or Liberals — we all want a better country for our children,” she added.
“But I’m here tonight to tell you, no matter your political background, that the best chance we have to give our babies a better life is to elect Donald Trump, President of the United States,” Rose continued.
