We bond and eventually get into an argument. The aide gets fed up and screams at me about publications and being a black woman. I'm blind so I won't know. And the screams don't hurt. They are actually so soothing that my vision is restored for a moment, see that Kobe Bryant is still dead. Then I thank God. And pass away easily as I whisper "A-Amanda...?"
