i haven't seen a single feature that makes me want to buy them. what exactly is the upgrade over this gen? ability to play "bigger" games is not an upgrade to me. i don't mind swapping discs on the current console.

"better" is a relative term. even these high end CPUs running the games at supposedly "better" graphics then the consoles now don't look that much "better" to me. certainly not $700 better.

I'm not excited either, I think video games have hit an apex as far as being able to improve the quality of the games that much to warrant a new system every 5 years. I'm still content with my current xbox and ps3
