I understand the purpose of twitter, but whats the point of instagram? Isn't it just for pictures? Can't you just upload pictures on FB or any other image hosting website?
Isn't snapchat the video site that only keeps your videos or pictures for 10 seconds? Whats the point in that? Couldn't you just use Youtube for your 5 second videos?
I understand Vine a little better now than I use to. I don't have any accounts on these websites. Well, I use to have a twitter back in 2010-2011 but it is lost. All I have is FB and I barely get on there if it isn't business related.
I feel like all of these websites are just repackaged imitations of sites that already exist. These types of websites only exist to keep the masses distracted from real life. Look at how instagram "models" have fooled many a man with filters and persuasive photo angles. Social media is largely just a platform for ignorance and the lovers of it.
Everywhere I go, I see kids and adults with their their heads down in their phones either taking pictures for instagram or doing something stupid to upload to snapchat or vine; completely oblivious to the world around them. I see entire families in restaurants engaged, not in conversation with one another, but in their phones.
When me and my girl go out to eat, I tell her to keep her phone in her purse and I keep mines in my pocket. One of the reasons our relationship is beautiful and healthy is because we engage with one another all the time and are not in our phones every second.
If these zombies lost their phones, they would panic and lose their minds and promptly go to the nearest computer and post about it on social media.
Thats my @DrX type rant for the day.
