Hoping I can get through Lies of P and BG3 after Thanksgiving. I would bank on LOP making a big mark on my list. Never been into CRPGs, so no guarantee I even get through BG3. Also got Alan Wake 2 downloaded, but I’m in no hurry.

I feel like 23 overall was filled with 8s and 9s, which is amazing, but nothing that changes the landscape of gaming, where everybody could carry the conversation on it through the whole year. I think BG3 is probably the only one on that level, quality-wise, but it’s still in such a niche genre, it can only make so much of a splash. Year has mostly been derivative, or straight up sequels/successors/remakes. High quality ones, but safe. Shoutout to my disappointment of the yr, Starfield

Comeback player of the year, Cyberpunk would probably put it *below Spider-Man above RE4 so far, but I still haven’t finished that yet either
