All things considered, who would you rather have president? Bernie Sanders or Donald Trump?

POTUS?

i had an interesting exchange with renowned Clinton apologist and establishment whore @ThreeLetterAgency , who offered this;

i bet you cant even admit that you'd rather have bernie be president than trump
Bernie is unfit to be POTUS

does anyone on here actually agree with this?

is trump shaking up the status quo (including his much-needed ether of the DNC) worth having him be president over Bernie Sanders? did you dislike his policies or find him unfit?

personally i would prefer if bernie was president :ehh: but im curious what HL thinks if you eliminate the queen from the equation

People wouldn't fear for their lives with Bernie. He might turn us into Venezuela with his policies though.

If Bernie won, he would have probably been able to get the Senate majority back to the Democrats because he generated enthusaiasm.

Unfortunately, they wouldn't make more gains in the House.

So you'd have divided government.

But it would be interesting. He obviously wouldn't be able to get single payer or tuition free college... but the executive powers available to him to either break up the banks according to Dodd Frank or executive orders on corporate taxation... or working with John McCain / Liz Warren on the 21st century Glass-Steagall bill would have been avenues he would have taken..

He could also threaten corporations that take government contracts to not ship jobs overseas.

Tax rates would stay the same.

Liberal Supreme Court Justices. No Merrick Garland.

A budget wouldn't be agreed upon. You'd have Paul Ryan vs. Bernie Sanders for God's sake. You'd have artificial debates about the "debt" and shid like that. Government shut down again maybe.

But now watch how the GOP spends mad money and increases the deficit and debt substantially :blessed:

i dont remember him advocating for the state taking control of production. all he said was that maybe the wealthiest country on earth could take care of and educate its people

and when i read articles like "pentagon covered up 125 billion in bureaucratic waste"...i tend to agree with him
