All these years later and people still think Tony killed Ralphie over a horse....

one of my pet peeves is when people say "so tony killed ralphie over a dumb animal but not for killing a stripper"'

you weren't paying attention slime

TRACY = PIE O MIE

... in fact, the horse = tracy the same way the fish = big pu**y and the ducks in the pool represented his family...and the bear in the woods represented himself... get the drift here yet?!

if you go back previous episodes, Tony and Silvio referred to Tracy as a "thoroughbred"....looked for the youtube clip but couldn't find it..

then for you dummies who still don't get it, chase spelled it out for you immediately after when Tony is in the bada bing immediately after killing Ralphie in this scene...

oh and not shown above, he walks by and there is single light shining down on the stripper pole...

Ya, Tony definitely killed Ralph over Tracy. Her murder always bothered him. He never forgave Ralph for that. I still laugh when Paulie comes over when Tony is looking at dead Tracy.

Paulie -- Ralph was way out of line. Tony -- look at her, only 22 years old. Paulie -- ya her too. LOL. Paulie didn't give a fukk about Ralph killing a whore. LOL Them dudes was ruthless.

I think Tony was looking for any excuse to kill Ralph, after the Tracy incident.

I still say it was a spur of the moment thing and he had no intentions of merking Ralph

why would a well planned out hit be done so sloppy? if he wanted him dead Tony and Chris woulda walked in there with plastic gloves on and plastic bags on their feet like

he only merked the n1gga cause he came at him with a knife and tried to merk him, it was no turning back after that

im not saying that it was a planned hit at all. just that once he got over there, he assessed the situation, and decided he would be down to kill him, so he said what he had to say to provoke him. tony is ruthless with the provocation.

remember what he did to janice at the dinner table when she was on her turning over a new leaf shyt. getting on her about harpo just so she would flip her shyt, bytch came at him with a fork.

It was over both things, really over Ralphie just being a destructive loose cannon. I'd say Tracy weighed more on it than pie o my but the horse had a part in it

One thing someone said that got me thinking, what if tony killed ralphie because ralphie was repenting? The whole episode before tony killed him ralph was dealing with his kid, you had the scene where he went to the priest, he proposed to Ro and in general looked like he was turning over a new leaf. Of course at the time I thought it was a front, but what if it was legit? What if he didn't set the stable fire at all? Someone made a good point that it could have been Paulie, to get back at Ralph for the prank call. That was why Paulie rescued the painting and why he looked so shook as painting tony stared back at him.

When tony has his dream a few eps later ralph is in the front seat with a butterfly on his dome. Melfi says its because ralph had gone through a recent change, the obvious one is death, but what if the show is implying that Ralph was a changed person and that's why tony killed him, cause he was pissed that a psycho like ralphie would try to change when he couldnt.

I don't know, its sort of a stretch, but ever since I heard this theory I've really liked it

We gotta remember Tony don't really give a fukk about no one. He's about saving his own ass. Remember he almost whacked Paulie when they went down to Florida? Tony coldblooded.

We had this thread before.

Long and short of it is, Tony showed the kind of empathy towards animals that he never had with humans - this is typical of a lot of sociopaths (like Hitler) as animals are morally simple creatures that give love when shown it, unlike human beings that force you into morally ambiguous and complex relationships that then force you to consider your own ethical decisions.

:rudy: to anyone who actually thought it was just about the horse

there are still people even after i explained it..look at the comment above yours...

the whole "tony only cared about animals and not humans/sociopath" thing is not wrong per se but it's not accurate either...it's too surface level...on the surface level you are right but the writers did that for a reason...those animals usually represented people who were helpless or cared about like family or once cared about like associates..

the tony is just a sociopath thing is too simple....Tony isn't Marlo/Pidgeons...it's not that simple...
