One of the GOAT sitcoms, quite possibly the greatest TV dad ever in Archie Bunker....so truthful, so funny....n possibly one of the GOAT spinoffs w the jeffersons....anybody fukk w this show?

My pops used to like this show for some reason even though Archie was a racist. I've seen lots of episodes because of that but I could never really get down with it like that. It was pretty funny though.

Started watching it a couple months ago, I'm about halfway through the series.

Never thought I'd be able to watch such a dated show because I thought the references would go over my head but it's fukking hilarious and remarkably a lot of the topics discussed are still very relevant.

That was the whole point tho. Archie was kind of like a loveable bigot...he was so stuck in his ignorant ways but the world was changing around him.

My pops was the same way, you had to respect a dude that kept it 100 even when it would offend others.

I love this show and it still amazes me that none of the subject matter ALL IN THE FAMILY dealt with (or the way the show presented it) would get on TV in a sitcom today.

That's what makes it a classic, timeless show. My dad loved this show, and I loved watching it with him and seeing him crack up.
