Batman Begins was dope. TDK should've easily trumped it with Ledgers swag but the combination of casting a different/ugly Rachel, Bale's bat voice debacle, minimum screen time for Two Face and Bales acting, they failed.

I Ledger for carrying this movie. It killed him in the end but he killed it.

He probably just said what the script said, but I do agree that BB is better than TDK. TDK was much more ambitious, but had bigger flaws. BB was much tighter.

Nah, TDK trumps BB. I find the LoS more interesting as an extended narrative but the way Nolan depicted these I can't put anything over Dark Knight.

Besides, the line you said isn't actually true. Joker doesn't care about money, he just likes destruction and flirting with death/seeing how far he can get people esp batman to go.

I know that's what the script said and the writers fukked up too. Important ass scene, important ass moment and it they fukked it up at the end. This is more of a salute to Ledger than a diss to Bale even though I didn't like his portrayal of Batman in this movie. I think I liked him better in Batman Begins because of how the wrote the character. It's almost as if he was taking himself too seriously in TDK and TDKR for that matter.

It's a classic scene nonetheless and Bale crushes it but if you think about it Bale delivers the line wrong. He puts the emphasis on the word "swear" when it should be on "me".

When the cop he's interrogating says "I swear to God"... Batman's response should have been "Swear to ME!!"... instead he says "SWEAR to me..."

Lmao, this is one of my favorite lines to quote tbh. There are plenty of other things to bag on CB for. I really don't see where you're coming from. If anything, the line is more brilliant that you're making it out to be because this entire scene shows just how far ahead the joker is at this point in time. Dent, Gordon, and Batman were totally clueless about his real intentions.
