Aleister Black radiates "it" -- whatever that intangible might be. On top of obvious talent and a clear, discernable character, he has an aura of dignity and grandeur about him. He just needs a suitably important story, now. No more dilly-dallying around with the likes of Patrick Clark. The Dream feud was good and entertaining, but he needs to be mixing it up in the title picture. They sacrificed his own winning streak, and that's fine. A streak can become a burden. But he needs to be back in contention and winning.
Velveteen Dream did all the work in that feud. Had everybody cheering for him at the end of their match. 
Aleister Black just stood around looking constipated during their feud. He's cool and all, but Aleister Black wasn't the one that had other people like "yeah, dude is a star".

He's an exceptional talent. I think the Dream feud also helped giving him more direction in how to present himself. At first he coasted a lot on his presentation, now I think he knows how much he can add to it himself.
