here's how dummy:1- no one says he deliberately murdered anyone.
2- it's possible or even likely he believed the gun didn't have a projectile to harm anyone
3- him believing bullet point 2 doesn't absolve him from deviating from industry practice of NOT pointing guns at people!
4- it is entirely plausible that either he's lying about the details (pointed the gun at the lady)
5- The gun may have been damaged or had worn out components allowing the hammer to drop after being cocked, it's also possible that he just lied and did in fact pull the trigger to make the gun go off.

The responsibility for gun safety falls on the people in charge of the gun safety. He is an actor, just doing what he is told.

They should have had gun safety courses and shyt like that but they didn't, they failed.

What a people don't know is some of those revolvers that use in hollywood, particularly in action westerns, are Slip guns.
A slip gun is a revolver which has been modified to disconnect the trigger from the hammer, so as to cause it to fire by pulling back and releasing the hammer. They do that so they can fan the hammer and rapid fire like you see below.
it's very possible that the gun lady in her youthful inexperience gave him one of those without knowing. And Alek while rehearsing his did the old "cock's hammer" thing people like to do and upon releasing it shyt went off.
but even if he didn't shyt was clearly an accident regardless. and nothing he could of done would have prevented them from switching blank rounds with live rounds which is ultimately, why someone died.
I'm pretty good with gun safety, but if someone hands me bullets and says that they are fake. the only way i would know for sure is to try and fire each one in a safe direction. but then i would use up the blanks charges and they'd have to replace them with fresh ones that haven't be fired yet, and i'd be right back with untested rounds whenever i have to actually point it at the unsafe direction for purposes of the scene.

Facts? he only described the mechanisms of the gun he brought to the video for the demo. There are lots of guns, all with different mechanisms. some films even have custom guns made for purposes of their film.
Like the shotgun Arnold used in T2 was customized to allow him to twirl it for chambering.
We have no evidence that any of the "facts" presented in this video are relevant in any way to what happened with Alec.
All he showed is that if this particular gun had been used what could or couldn't happen.
