I've been meaning to make this thread for ages...
So, I don't drink that often and when I do, I don't drink that much. The most I'll have is 2 beers or 2-3 shots and a beer one day a week when I go out with friends. I'm not really cutting and I eat pretty clean year-round. I never let it affect my workout days but I've been looking for research on how alcohol affects your gains.
Some claim that it inhibits your protein synthesis and others say that it lowers your test. Others say that those claims are myths and if they do, it's not by a significant enough margin to matter. They say that it only matters if you're drinking heavily on a consistent basis.
...then, I checked this out.
What do you guys say? What have you heard? What do you believe?
