I was listening to the new killer mike and it only had 12 songs on there. Then blueprint had 13. the new kanye had 13. Anything above that is too many songs imo
the way I look at it is to get a classic album an artist needs to compact their best songs at the time. The more songs you place on an LP the higher probability for filler. This is why Illmatic, Blueprint 1, Teflon Don, etc. are classics...short and sweet
actually there would be an easy fix to this if fools went back to having groups.. then the rapper would only have to come up with one verse per song and let the other rappers handle the rest... ahhh, how i miss hip hop groups.. now it's just an ensemble of random unrelated rappers screwing up what would otherwise be good songs
