Serving ether daily was one of the only perks to his job. That and helping the occasional bimbo that walked in.
One of my favorites was when he caught bud drilling a hole in the wall to the restroom:

That right there is what made it a classic from jump beyond the material...ABC & NBC had Who's The Boss, Perfect Strangers, Family Ties, Facts Of Life, Cosby, Growing Pains...CBS was nothin but nighttime soaps like Dallas, Falcon Crest, Knots Landing and hadn't been bold since Norman Lear was spinning gold in the 70's...Fox came out smashin all that shyt us kids hated watchin with our parents/grandparents back then..But what was cooler was that the creators of MWC Ron Leavitt (RIP) and Mike Moye used to write/produce The Jeffersons so they were rebelling too

Check this out, since all of us fans generally hate that last ep, how do yall think a real MWC finale should've gone?? I think Breaking Up Is Easy To Do woulda been the one, only at the end Al, Peg, Jefferson, Marcy realize that they're all miserable without each other "for better or worse" so they all end up back together... Bud finally graudates college and Kelly does get married...I've always pictured the last scene bein Al sittin in the Dodge screamin Oh God No!! one last time slamming his face into his horn as Peg hugs him in a freeze frame
