and im not saying daredevil is flawless or classic or anything

just watched that supergirl trailer :scust: it looks like it would be a decent show if not for the fact that its going to be 23 episodes and therefore stuffed with filler, not only that they will have to tailor it to pander to cbs's dying baby boomer audience :scust:

the CW shows have horrible writing and acting which they mask with killing off characters and crossovers. in the past, ive looked past it, but now we have a better option :blessed: can't wait to see marvel's other shows on netflix

DC needs to get with the times and ditch the networks, make a deal with amazon or something, the streaming audience is perfect for these kinds of shows

Its kind of an apples and oranges argument but really it all depends on how effectively a show can nail the character they're doing

Supergirl looks like it will work for Supergirl cause it looks like it deals with her everyday girl adjusting to shyt that is in her comics. To be honest, if you're not into that you probably arent into Supergirl anyway and that show wont be for you. In the same respect Daredevil captured the gritty noir feel of that character's best stories.

Arrow to me has always had an identity crisis (No pun intended) in terms of being generic gritty show trying to be a bit like Batman at times. Flash also leans towards a young hero with angst angle which wasnt always Barry's steeze. Smallville had problems always trying to find itself as a multi-genre show too. So I can see why those shows have trouble with some people.

As long as you can fit the tone of the character, you're good.
