:wow: Brehs, I have seen the light of the pop offs. I was playing Mortal Kombat 1 and the feelings of Joeyhood hit the marsupial like a ton of bricks. The excitement :ohlawd: , the saltiness, and so Pringles of it all. Had a session with one breh and it was all mutual respect back and forth with the game, as we were both learning the strategies.

The rush was real AF.

Now with that being said:

  • Besides EVO, what tournaments or leagues to watch?
  • Is it worth getting an arcade stick?
  • What techniques do yall work with?
  • How do the marsupial git gud?
:blessed: let me in the secret society.

There are plenty of tournaments to watch. You can watch alot of the major tournaments (CEO, Frosty Faustings, East Coast Throwdown, etc) also the companies usually have their own Tours for their games (Tekken World Tour, Capcom World Tour, etc) .

Whether its worth getting an arcade stick is really up to the player. Nowadays alot of the games are made with the controller being the main way to play. But arcade sticks still perform well and then you have other controllers like stickless levers like the hitbox which is basically arcade stick layout with buttons instead of the joystick. They all have their pros and cons.

Need a lil bit more elaboration on what you mean by this question. What type of techniques are you talking about?

Getting better really is just playing alot of matches and going into practice mode. Going onto youtube as well to get ideas for combos and strategies. Watching replays to figure out where you went wrong in your matches and stuff.

Yeah I'm watching a MK1 tourney now and its pretty legit.

As far as techniques, I'm talking about mainly the last bullet question, like tips to get better along with what yall do in matches (combos, power moves, defense, etc).
