Samuel Delany and Nalo Hopkinson must be some of the most niche writers in the US- Black, homosexual sci-fi writers.
Not that they deserve obscurity, quite the opposite. I have a running interest in Afrofuturist aesthetics more generally, and there's a lot of good writing out there on the subject.

i know people that read these damn books, then act like its reality. mufukkas actin like the space ship in sun ra's old movie is coming to pick them up in a few weeks... shyt turned me off to most of this afro futurism, and ramelzee's art i cant fukk with 95% of that shyt
