I don't know if it's just me, but subconsciously I feel like people are watching me to see if I'm gonna steal their stuff. For example, let's say I'm playing ball and someone's wallet, keys, and phone are on the floor next to the hoop I'm playing at.
Any time my ball rolls over to someone's stuff, I make sure to pick it up away from their stuff so it doesn't look like I'm taking their stuff. Now mind you, the last time I stole something was a bag of gummy bears in high school.
When I find shyt like watches, phones etc in the gym locker room, I turn it in rather than pocketing it.
This has got to stem from people locking their car doors when they see me or just doing lowkey racist shyt.
I shouldn't have to deal with this mental turmoil as a black male in America. Especially when I've lived in this town for longer than most of the racist IndiCacs here.
Can anyone relate?
