Y’all not tired of tournaments? Them shyts are plaguing pro wrestling right now. Across both companies.
WWE did two in the last few months, with a third starting on Smackdown next week. Can we use tv time to tell compelling stories instead of filling up time with empty matches based around advancing to the next one?

The last time a company did a "successful" tournament, it was this promotion:
Sadly this one tournament damn near killed the promotion (along with WWE killing the UK wrestling scene and one of the members of Whatculture being a more of a mating general than yours truly). This event was lit but sadly did not take off due to the nonsense in the background.
That being said, a wrestling tournament is idiotic as all hell. It's not worth the booking power, Tony Khan drove that shyt into the ground, the "obvious" winner always ends up being just that, and its basically a cheap ploy to book matches to hide the fact that creative is dryer than cat shyt.
