look at squat videos on you tube for correct form.
dont start out to heavy
look up and not down at your feet
dont round your back, act like you are sgoing to sit in a chair
breathe in when youre goin down, and out when you are coming back up

if yo are in a gym you can ask a trainer if your form is right. becareful cuz they might sucker you in to buy a workout session. if thats what you want to do then forget what i said

keep your eyes focused slightly above horizon(keep your head/neck neutral with your spine...dont tilt your head up or down)

lock out your lats and squeeze the bar

breathe in deep and brace your abs going down(not too fast)

feel the squat in your glutes when you come up

doing these things will subconciously keep your back straight

Yes they are. I work out at 24 hr and i'm :snoop: at all the lame non effective shyt they have their clients do. If you hear em speak on it? It's clear they have a very lukewarm understanding of training at best.:beli:

Hopefully, you have a gym where there is a mirror in front of the squat rack.
Look straight at it while doing squats. This is to make sure your form is good. Do not look up. Do not look down. Look straight ahead. Look at youtube videos of Ronnie Lott. He's doing it right. I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head who does it right, but there others who do it right and others who do it wrong.

Do not rush being able to do a lot of weight. Check your ego at the door. Ronnie Lott can slap on 800 lbs. , but he's been lifting for years. Do not get in a macho-man rush to lift 135 lbs., 225 lbs., or 315 lbs.

be conscious of your BUTT. poke that **** out when squatting and press up using hip-drive and your butt. believe me it really helps when youre squatting heavy weight, to get out the hole and stabilizing heavy weight, saving your lower back.
