Not to knock on Adonis because I definitely think he is a top fighter at 175, but I think so far he has had great match making that makes him look fantastic.
Adonis has appeared that a very skilled top notch boxer could give him serious problems. I don't think fights against BHop or Kovalev are walkovers for Stevenson. It fact...he probably would be the underdog.

It seems he really wants BHop, but unless one of them switch networks and promoters, I highly doubt it. Froch seems like a dream right now. Froch needs to give Groves a rematch or will lose serious respect among the boxing community.
Bute/Pascal winner seems likely as a money making Canadian fight...although not a real exciting prospect of a fight.
Obviously the fight we want to see, to start to see both Adonis and Kovalev be tested against a top fighter is to fight each other. Adonis didn't seem overly excited to take the fight. I don't think he ducks...be at his age and late start of a career, I get the vibe he would like to prolong it with big money fights against easier opponents.

In 2013 Adonis has fought dudes in the top 10 though aside from Darnell Boone...and he has dispatched them all forcefully. So whether the styles played to his strengths or not he dominated and got impressive wins against all of them.
While the Kovalev fight is the intriguing fight for him it isn't the most lucrative so I fully understand why he is more focused on making loot than satisfying boxing purists desires for the Kovalev fight. This is a business first, everything else is secondary.
