Bulletproof 2 : Sequel to Sandler-Wayans ’90s comedy on the way
With Faizon Love of “Friday” playing one of the main roles
Heads up on another direct-to-disc sequel hitting later this year.
The crowd behind
“Kindergarten Cop 2” are currently prepping a sequel to one of Adam Sandler’s first flicks.
Remember “Bulletproof”, the Ernest dikkerson-directed action-comedy with Adam Sandler and Damon Wayans as two buddies and small-time crooks (a relationship that sours once it’s revealed Wayans is actually a cop)? Made a lot of bank back in 1996. Surprising a sequel didn’t happen sooner.
Never the less, “Bulletproof 2” is now before the cameras in South Africa with Faizon Love, Kirk Fox and Tony Todd.
Comedian and actor Fox, who you may from the short-lived “Rush Hour” series, takes over the Archie Moses role from Sandler while Love plays Jack Carter (Wayans’ part), the undercover officer formerly known as Rock Keats.
The joke will be, of course, that Carter would have put on some weight since the ’90s.

Todd, best known for his role in the “Candyman” films, plays an agent.

Don Michael Paul, the action-vet behind “Jarhead 2 : Field of Fire” , “Kindergarten Cop 2” with Dolph Lundgren, and “The Scorpion King : Book of Souls”, is back in business with Universal on the pic. Rich Wilkes (“xXx”, “The Dirt”) penned the screenplay.
