Cole to defend NXT North American Title against WALTER at EVOLVE 107

NXT North American Champion Adam Cole will put his title on the line against one of independent wrestling’s top competitors, Austrian powerhouse WALTER, at EVOLVE 107 in Melrose, Mass., later this month.

Presented by the WWN and EVOLVE Wrestling, EVOLVE 107 takes place at the Melrose Memorial Hall on Sunday, June 24.

Known for his ferocious chops, WALTER has become a breakout star in EVOLVE. The 300-plus-pounder from Vienna competed in a WWE ring at WrestleMania Axxess 2018 in New Orleans, facing NXT Superstar Kassius Ohno in a hard-hitting contest.

In addition to the NXT North American Title Match, EVOLVE 107 will feature a title defense by WWN Champion Austin Theory, former UFC fighter and reigning EVOLVE Champion Matt Riddle in action, plus much more.

Cole’s title defense is the latest example of WWE’s working relationship with EVOLVE, one of the world’s leading independent wrestling organizations. EVOLVE has hosted WWE luminaries, from NXT General Manager William Regal and WWE Performance Center coach Robbie Brookside to Sami Zayn and NXT Champion Aleister Black, at its events in the past.

In a just world...

...WALTER wins the N.A. title, because there's no way he should lose to Adam Cole, and he's been signed to a WWE contract on the (kinda) low like Keith Lee.

Further adds to the unpredictability of live events, and would be quite an introduction for a beast, instead of the usual "beat jobbers up" pathway.
