It was on purpose, but I can relate.

This happened to me when I ran the same race right after football season. There was an opp running next to my lane and I just shoulder bumped him. Idk what took over me man. I didn't plan for that shyt, but it was like instinct because we were so close to each other and I had that dog in me from football

It's worth reading the article where the other girl is telling her version.

I've never run track so I do not know how plausible what she says is.

If it did play out like she says and it was just her trying to catch herself, then I do feel bad for people coming for her cause they'll be nothing she can do to disprove it.

That said, off this video alone, that swing does look intentional.

ETA: If the assailant still hasn't reached out to this young lady to apologize yet, then, yeah, it makes her look even more guilty.
