Used to be a member of ATS wayyyy backkkkkkkkk, not anymore though
but they forced you into have mature discussions, which I liked.

Nobody was allowed to have one-liners or mods would delete their post and other stuff happened.

People were forced to stay on topic, no personal attacks, no trolling, and of course no one liners
like "you are stupid to think this", no you couldn't insult the other but were encouraged to debate maturely.

Thoughts?

It would be cool but there is only a select few users on the Higher Learning that actually has great conversations. I am seriously dissapointed in the lack of threads and conversation on this forum. Too many trolls, racists etc...

Nah, we're not big on censorship. But I tried this stuff the first year at user's behest (and sometimes just on my accord) and I ended up in unnecessary arguments. HL can police itself. It's nearly impossible to do what you're saying on here just given the make up of the posters. There's different perspectives on rationality, propriety, what is or isn't trolling, when trolling should be accepted, how people should treat each other, etc. It's pointless. Just let the board be unless something is just very inflammatory. That's what I learned and abide by now. To be honest, that's what I was recruited to do anyhow.
