In what universe is the edge of a high rise building a good spot for a basketball hoop?

How is that feasible in any situation?

I think of it as a hoop construction workers put up in their spare time. It's not a hoop people are supposed to play at . It was just a temporary hoop while they worked on fixing the building.

this scene always confused me growing up because you see a wall with a window behind the hoop so when he goes flying off a roof i was always a mixture of & .
