Loved the film and the title track from Public Enemy.
Remember reading that Spike originally approached Kobe for the role first and he turned it down.
The next guy he approached was Iverson but he, too, turned it down.
Damn shame because AI would have been PERFECT and more believable that any other guy they could have cast in that role.
Still was a good movie, though. My favorite hoops film of all time.

Denzel was not supposed to score a single point in the script LOL
Just got done watching it. Definitely was a good movie & I should've watched it with my siblings growing up. Made me look forward to watching Spike's other classics. I think I like this joint more than the Spike Lee-produced "Love & Basketball" (I probably need to rewatch that to give it a fair comparison)
