Plenty people. The Roseanne reboot first episode got like 18 Million viewers. By the end of the season, the numbers declined but she was still averaging like 10 Million an episode.

With that said, there’s no need for this but I understand them wanting to make sure the other cast and crew still have work.

They did the same with the Duggars after the oldest son got caught on Ashley Madison, and they discovered he molested the daughters, and the family covered it up.

They just did a spin-off following the older married kids (not him or his wife) and show the parents here and there, mostly at the weddings and home births.

I think the Roseanne reboot was probably the most successful reboot thus far now that I think about it. I’m only going off memory but I’m fairly certain it did better than The X Files and Will and Grace.
