Former WWE Superstar Austin Aries recently appeared as a guest on Chris Jericho's Talk Is Jericho podcast. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.

On how he started doing commentary for WWE and Vince McMahon's reaction: "When [the injury happened] happened, I was talking with Hunter and I said, 'I don't necessarily just want to disappear for whatever extent of time, so if there [are] things I can do, whether it's commentary, managerial, anything, I'd like to stay, somehow, in the scenes.' And this was at NXT, so when the 205 [Live] idea was brought to light, and they said, 'going off of what you said, maybe this would be a fit for commentary' and it provided an opportunity that honestly I am so thankful for and it [has] opened a lot of doors for me. I learned a lot working with Michael Cole and having Vince, literally, after my fight night, [saying] 'Goddammit, you're a natural. Nobody [has] ever had a debut like that before.'

"I walked back to Gorilla [position] and he was standing there with a big smile on his face and 'Goddammit, you're a natural!' I was looking at him like, 'what are you saying?' Literally, the greatest complement you could probably get at that point in your career. Sure, and Vince has sat in that seat and heard everybody and I mean everybody, good and bad, so for him to come back and heap that kind of praise on me, I didn't take that lightly."

On the backstage altercation with Cesaro: "We had both just worked Great Balls of Fire and I overheard him saying that his match was the match of the night and I had something to say, we got into it and it was broken up pretty quick but my nose was sore for a few days [laughs]"

On Neville: "Originally, I think that how it played out was pretty much what was the idea. At the time, what wasn't known was how well Neville was going to do in his role and that changed things because, if you listened to my commentary, I wasn't coming off as a sweet, nice guy. So, at that point, they kind of had to make a decision, and, listen, this guy, Neville is on another level, man, completely another level and I'm not just talking about the cruiserweight division, I'm talking the whole company, so let's not mess with that, but now we kind of have this in place, so we're going to just switch it, which isn't always easy."[/quote]
is Aries able to compete anywhere else right now? Vince being :ohhh: is fairly impressive
We spoke to Cesaro recently to preview the Abu Dhabi live show happening in December.

He said some quite interesting stuff on his work with Sheamus, that injury, working with Kurt Angle and the Shield, the Hardys and wanting to face Jinder Mahal in the future.

On feuding with the Shield and Kurt Angle

"It was kind of cool to be in the middle of this all and it just shows that me and Sheamus are a very valued force. That Seth and Dean felt they had to bring Roman back. Of course it is cool to be part of that because the Shield is very fondly thought of by the WWE universe.

"The fact that Kurt Angle had to jump in [Angle was brought in a replacement for Reigns, who was ill, for the TLC Network Special in October] was great. When I was growing up I was a big fan of Kurt Angle so it was cool stepping in the ring with him.

"I hope it happens again [getting in the ring with Angle] so I can turn the tables and send him through the table so to speak."

On how his teeth are doing now

"They are a lot better. I am still not able to bite anything with my front two teeth. Like I said they went up my gums, and I fractured my jaw bone that is over my teeth and beneath my nose. I fractured that and they had to pull the teeth back down. Now I have lovely braces so to all the kids with braces out there, I feel your pain."

On dream matches and future opponents

"I have been in the ring pretty much with everyone that is on the main roster. I am not that big of a fantasy person. I prefer myself to think of living in the real world. Therefore I look at opponents I have already been in the ring with that I would like to get in the ring with again. Maybe they have evolved in a certain way [since last meeting].

"For example, Jinder Mahal I was in the ring with four or five months ago at a network special and since then he became WWE champion so I would obviously like to see how he has evolved since then."
Cesaro went thru that so hopefully you don't have to go thru that :mjcry:
While Paige is backstage at Raw and there were reports over the weekend that she would somehow not only make her way into the triple threat match to determine the last member of Raw's women's team at Survivor Series, the current plan as of this afternoon is for Bayley to win the match and be named as that final member.

:takedat:
WWE is planning on having the Cruiserweight title match between Kalisto and Enzo Amore on this weekend's Survivor Series Kick Off show.
:mjlol:
Several Raw talent, including the Shield, are expected to be on Smackdown tonight as Raw finally goes for revenge to set up Survivor Series this weekend. Both male and female are scheduled but no specific names are known at this point.

@Negrodamus gonna be steady refreshing his WWE feed
According to a report at pwinsider.com, Neville could be on his on his way back to WWE later this month and possibly as early as this week.

-- Reportedly, Neville and WWE officials have had several positive discussions over the past few weeks and that those talks have gone over so well, paving the way for his return. It should be noted that WWE never actually released him from contract and that he never actually walked, instead choosing to try and work out a release so that he could make a name for himself elsewhere.

-- Finally, the rumor that Neville was upset at the prominence being given to Enzo Amore and being asked to put him over appears to be completely false as well. The two have actually become good friends off camera.

Man, I love that Aries let people believe he walked out and was sticking it to the man, and Meltz reported the same thing as fact, when in reality Aries never wanted to leave and they cold call cut him because they had no plans for him, and he clearly wants back in.
