We are losing in a big way as a people. It's to the point where you can wake up and see a Black person being threatened/beaten/shot/killed on a regular basis.
Why?
Well, we're not serious about taking on our enemies. At all. We are absolutely no threat whatsoever.
A woman I worked with in college, who is white, is working at a major media corporation as a producer. She saw a video made by some white lady on YouTube who is trying to be the next Jenna Marbles. The subject of the video was fat shaming and she wasn't feeling it one bit.
What did she do? She got a bunch of her online contacts to bombard her sponsors with negative messages.
In less than two hours the sponsor apologized online and cut all ties with the YouTube chick.
Shortly after that another one of her contacts announced that she had her blackballed from a major ad agency.
In contrast, we can't barely organize to put a local bar on blast. I tried making a thread where I got a manager at a local establishment using racial slurs. Had the convos screen shotted and everything. These people could be sunk with a little cooperation. But nope.
Mod's want to play games and limit visibility of the post by moving it to the least visited section on the site. I'm convinced they would have deleted the thread but I'm guessing that's for admins only.
If I were Jewish and this woman said a bunch of racial slurs her job would be on the line and her employer would be facing stiff repercussions. Why? Because Jews don't play that shyt one bit.
Instead, I'm Black and its nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get Black to cooperate and do something to flex our social clout. Why? We lack purpose. We're just trying to clown each other for everyone else's amusement.
Hell, in the thread someone was pissed that it wasn't another Coli poster that was being put on blast. Like what the fvck!? Are we really that lost?
