Thats kinda why I'm not concerned with AI now… if/once quantum computers become a thing, AI is irrelevant until its composed in quantum computing somehow, which then we’re fukked

American MO is always to focus more on developing weapons than defense. American Exceptionalism still got people thinking we just ahead of the rest of the world by default, and they only realize it when they find out they actually behind.
We will get fukked by someone else attacking us before we develop proper safeguards, and even then will be more concerned with hitting back than keeping it from happening again.

Its not about AI in the way you think.
It’s AI on a quantum level. Must be composed at a quantum level (I think). It will most likely start as some sort of hybrid.

the bigger worry is that the foundations of quantum mechanics state that an alteration to one of joined pair affects the other, irrespective of time or distance.
