It would be nice to see some actual statistics :lupe:

Somehow technology will steal all the jobs but not allow us to communicate with people in other languages :patrice:

Its gonna be like that elesium movie. No one will have to work, but most of us would like nothing more than to be able to. Rich people will have a life of leisure being served by robots, while most of us fear them.

Man will move forward and get better. What that means for individual men is a different story.

I used to work in a factory (Ford Motor Company) Even being there and making great money, I knew that this shyt wouldn't last. The writing is on the wall brehs. I left, went back to school, got my MBA and work in the field I have my MBA in as well as teach college off of the strength of that Masters degree. It's paid for itself already. You need to wake up and think about your future if you already haven't.

Automation is inevitable :yeshrug: We should be adjusting accordingly, not trying to fight it.

I look at it like this as well. The plant that I worked at, originally had 5500 hourly works, when I got there, it was down to 1500. Now, it's around 550. I started in 1999. They getting robots that do three jobs and faster than three humans and they go non stop. I didn't want to be in a situation where, I'm 20 years in and my job gets cut because of automation. I'm up shyts creek then. How am I going to be a 40 something year old new nikka on the scene, trying to get a degree, talking about a come up, competing with kids half my age and I already had mouths to feed. That is a future I wanted no parts of. Think big picture, figure this shyt out and bust your ass for it, but education better be somewhere in that plan.

They can never take away jobs that require emotion, art and stuff like that. So tech/hard labor stuff fools will lose in the end.

You can't engage in emotions, art and "stuff like that" if you work in tech and hard labor? What kind of dumb thinking is this?

Some of the greatest artists, poets, writers and philosophers were also mathematicians, scientists, engineers.

Seems like you're trying to throw shade at people who do things you can't or don't want to do.
