What the NBA is really lacking are just rivarlies general. Between Players and Teams

With Both teams Young enough to make Multiple Final Trips... This Rivarly could be legendary if done right :manny:

The only real rival Lebron has had has been Pierce. Kobe-Bron was supposed to be THE Rivalry, but it never panned out as both teams were never able to make it to the finals, even though it always seemed like they were gonna meet up, but I guess it will not happen. But, Bron-Durant wouldn't be as bad, but they seem too buddy-buddish with each other to make it an intense rivalry. Hopefully Westbrook sabotages there friendship and does or says some dumb stuff, than maybe the rivalry can heat up. :youngsabo:

Legit rivalries only really happen in the same conference, but in today's nba these dudes eat dinner with each other before the game then go clubbing with each after, that's why everyone soft as fukk

I don't get that feeling w/ KD though.. Everybody else, butt buddies. I think Kevin has this silent killer instinct about him that's :pacspit: We can get it in... As for the original ?, it would be great to see that rivalry but i'd rather not because that would mean Lebron is going to win a championship one day. I pass on that everyday. Lebron? :pacspit:

Rivarlies can def be created through the media in todays age.. If the media goes on a comparison tirade feat Lebron and Durant, that in itself should generate enough momentum for this Rivarly to discover itself

Luckily the Teams are Young enough where we should see both teams at Minimum 2 or 3 More times in the Finals.. And if were lucky enough they will be against each other

If they both make the finals next season, there will be an offical rivarly.. Mark my Words!

Kind of hard to have a rivalry when these dudes are working out together in the summer.

There needs to be some form of dislike between them for it to really jump out.

This series just needs a hard or flagrant foul. Like Javie commented after Game 1, the game was hard fought but a clean game. Something to rekindle that Bosh fake tough guy thing from the start of the season.

KD has more heart than Lebron so I see this being a rivalry. However if OKC embarrases Miami I could most definitely see Lebron taking this personally. Remember Bron was predicting about 10 championships during the pep rally so a win this year is essential.

If Lebron lets Durant come in here and win this at 23, alot of folk are going to lose faith in this dude and crown Durant the king of the NBA.

So LEBRON BETTER fukkING STEP UP!

There can't be no rivalry if you don't like each other.

Word these dudes are way to buddy-buddy. I remember hearing Barkley say that during his rookie year, Doc snapped on him for talking to members of opposing teams before the games.

Closes thing we've had contemporarily is the few "Kobe Stoppers." AI came at MJ neck with that "I don't have to respect nobody" comment.

neither are that type...

We need two guys who come into the league not giving a fukk...hating on everything other players do on a consistent basis.

Lol. But you're right, it doesn't need to be fouls. Like the jawing back and forth between Kobe and Harden in one of those regular season games this year was PERFECT! Nothing to get ejected over, but enough to ignite some big time plays/runs.
