So, how does the Pelicans trading the number 4 pick to ATL affect us? Do we still have a path towards max dollars?

So what if new Orleans just decided to keep him until all star break:ohhh: or even all season to make a run at the championship :ohhh:or what if Denver or Portland trade for a one year rental:ohhh:. You not a GM and the window is win now not sit and wait for a top 5 player to come walking through the door. Toronto won the championship taking a gamble if you're the lakers you are going to let ball/ingram and some draft picks of kids who are in middle school right now stop the deal :hhh: We talking 2023 draft and a guy who shot 40% from the FT line

1. AD said he wanted out.
2. LA was one of his top 3 destinations.
3. The longer the Pelicans waited to trade AD the lower his value drops

LA basically traded 3 top 5 pks, 3 future 1st rd pks and Hart for a guy who was going to sign with them anyway...Sure, those 1st rd picks are going to be low pks. But the Lakers could've use the picks to sweeten the pot on another deal or develop a young player (see Kuzma)...Would I have made the trade?...Yes..but Pelinka was in position to hold out for a lower price.... Not only did L:A give up a ton of assets but now we have to pay AD 35m dollars per yr.

Also....LA already has Lebron,AD and Kuzma...That's 70 ppg...There's no needs for a 3rd max player...Bring in a couple of quality starters and build some bench depth.

So you are 100% that AD was going to sign with the lakers even if kyrie goes to new York and they trade for him you 100% sure that the pelicans HAD to trade him to the lakers at all the answer is NO the pelicans didn't have to trade him at all you sitting here talking about top 5 picks how many how many of the top 10 players went in the top 5 in the last 10 years. Fuk them picks unless its a 12yr old that's LeBron/shaq/AD like who cares and you really said hart/lonzo/ingram are assets :francis:.
