No, it would be controlling local offices and creatively getting it going. Reparations in Evanston, Illinois is/was very small and is funded by the legalization of weed in the city. Lineage based and all with over $5 million given in 4 years time. Black people would have to be incredibly active in local politics.This is not very surprising. The only way reparations would have happened is if there was some outside force pressuring the US to pay up for one reason of the other. This is white people trying to shut the door hard.

That said, in THIS current environment? fukk no. Bigger fish to fry and the last thing you want is the federal government to turn your city and/or state against you because he is pulling funding from the whole shyt just to stop your reparations efforts. People pushing for that kind of tangible in 2025 are delusional and willing to fukk everything up for something that won't happen right now.
