During the Kawhi/Green era, him and Klay couldn't do shyt with us because we could easily switch on the picks with either of them. ok first of all, I joined this site in 2017 and rarely posted here. 2nd, I've been on the Spurstalk forums before we even traded for Khawi on draft day, 3rd, I'm a year younger than Duncan and can tell you where I was at, and eating the day we drafted him in '97 as I watched on tv. 4th, I've got Spurs jerseys so old the numbers are falling off. I personally didn't know this site had a lot of the sub forums it did. I just started posting in the WNBA threads because on the other forums and youtube panels, I'd get clowned for years about looking at women's basketball. Now those same following azz nikkas that was trying to clown are now telling me who is or isn't an all time great women's player when they said for YEARS they didn't watch it(and I've had to embarass a few of them for their bullshyt with screen shots).

Truthfully, us losing to the heat in 2013 may have saved my life. I'm glad you posted that because I just looked at my side of our closet and I'm missing 2 of my Duncan Jerseys. I'm missing an old home and away jersey. The away jersey is so old and putrid that it has no numbers and half of the letters. I hope my wife didn't throw my shyt away. I still have my other away # "1" Duncan jersey

I also think another important factor this season is that Popovich is out. People won't admit it, but he's done as a coach. At 75, the mind does not function as it did in the 40s-60s. He's still sharp, but not quick on the fly to make adjustments in-game.

there was a game thatsame season where the Spurs played the Warriors without KD and got beat with Steph giving y'all 29/11. That was with Kawhi and Danny on the wings

In the 2015-16 season, steph averaged 28ppg on 50/37/100 splits in the four games against the 67-win spurs as well.


This happened in 2021 also against the suns. Mikal Bridges got a ton of hype for guarding steph, and steph cooked him in their next meeting. Same deal with Dylan Brooks when he was on the grizzlies

Every year there's a "steph stopper" and every year he puts it to rest. Steph also being nearly 37 plays a factor i'm sure

We’re 10-8 without being down two and a half starters all year AND giving away 2/3 games we had in the bag. Love the way the team, especially Vic, is valuimg the ball and possessions in the second half of games. Vic had a lot more plays ran for him that kept him near the rim. Castle is the goods. And again, CP3 and HB are the perfect vets for this squad.
