Yeah it was ugly.20 turnovers
Chris Paul scored the same amount of points as me tonight
There's a relative correlation, where touch, pattern and practice are signs that someone with a high FT% mirrors their upside as a shooter, in general; the relative part is one's shot type proclivity, where they might be someone like Kobe, who's a great shooter, but takes shots of a high degree of difficulty which affect his FG%. The same phenomenon can explain some of Wemby's shooting thus far in his career, and the rest can be put down to him:It's interesting that for such a tall player, Wembanyama is an excellent free throw shooter.
He shot .796 from the line as a rookie, and early on this season he's shooting .917.
I would suspect that it's highly unusual for a player to be a good free throw shooter, and be a poor shooter elsewhere on the floor.
@Gil Scott-Heroin you may not be a Spurs fan per se, but I wonder if you're aware of any correlation between FT shooting and FG shooting. Whether there's any predictive factor/correlation there.
Wemby shot is looking better.
My concerns about his jump shooting may have been too quick.
