If San Antonio keeps hoarding picks, eventually they're going to have to package them for a quality veteran.

You just don't have any idea who that might be.

But I suspect in the next 2 years they're gonna land someone pretty damn talented. I'm not good at speculating, but maybe Keldon and draft picks gets the Spurs a solid power forward/small forward. Maybe that depends on where Jeremy Sochan fits best.

Or, maybe they use trades to solidify the bench. It's not as sexy but you do need that second unit to keep you in games when your starters rest. We see teams lose big leads in the playoffs when the 1st unit is in foul trouble or taking a breather.

And I know my guess about trading for a forward makes people think of Markkanen. I'm strongly opposed to dealing with Danny Ainge though.

I should add that the Spurs probably do need a backup point guard.

Tre Jones is the 3rd PG now and he's okay. Probably on his way out though. But if Jones gets moved, eventually Paul retires. And then you need someone behind Castle.
