This is different all together

@901Cory10 - Track is dope, I can hear Drake on it. Your drum patterns are crazy, it does feel that your drums have a tendency to be squished by compression which makes them sound smushed like there sound is being altered, squished and held back by a limiter; specifically your snares. I remember I heard a beat a few weeks ago that sounded so crisp and you said you didn't even mix it yet, so I would be curious to hear your process, I have little doubt that it's either a heavy compressor or a limiter that is always causing me to hear that squished sound on your drums/ snares especially. If you go lighter on the compressor (lower the ratio a bit, and th the drums will pop more without having that squashed feeling (Of Course this is all a preference thing. So ignore that that critique if you have no use for it.) That said your build ups and compositional technique on your tracks are always consistent and that's definitely what sets you apart from the competition and makes you a real force.

@bigrodthe1 This track is dope, great composition and a nice retro sound. The mix is great, The one thing I would say in critique is that the bass that hits 19 seconds in dope in terms of sound selection but it's out of key from the rest of the record.
other than that you have a good record, that would be ready for placement in a commercial. That breakdown at 2:03 is dope.

My vote on this one is going to Cory

Great battle gentlemen

Another good round, I've given these plenty of play and fukks with both. It's another one of those depends on my mood moments.
If I'm daytime driving, the sun is shining it's Rod's track, if we night time through the city it's Cory's. Damn I might even test that theory out tomorrow.......
Ok, like producingfire noted, the handle on the buildups and compositions on Cory's track tips the scale in his favour.
:salute:to both...

cant lie liked both tracks, Bigrod probably would have been better with someone on it , still like it a lot honestly because its not a traditional sounding soul beat or trap beat outside the box, which is what i noticed a lot with bigrod's beat the last few years:ehh:

what can i say cory is one of my favorites love it , keep it up......but try some soul dawg it wont killa ya:troll::mjgrin::pachaha:

This was a tie to me:manny:. Rod had the more :ohhh: beat but Cory's was more:myman:. When going back and forth to me it seemed each had intangibles the other didn't but in a good way because both beats were dope
