Conor Benn was left absolutely devastated after testing positive for COVID-19 and having to postpone his July 31 fight against Adrian Granados.

Well, Matchroom Boxing's Eddie Hearn vowed to be working on a new date to reschedule the fight and now we have it. Benn vs. Granados has been rescheduled to Sept. 4, joining a massive card which includes Josh Warrington vs. Mauricio Lara in a featherweight rematch and Katie Taylor putting her undisputed lightweight titles on the line against Jennifer Han. It will all take place from the Emerald Headingley Stadium in Leeds, England.

Benn, a face of the British boxing future, upped his stock in a major way after a first-round destruction of Samuel Vargas in April to improve to 18-0 with 12 knockouts.

The surging 24-year-old will certainly be tested by a veteran like Granados who has been in tilts with former world champions such as Shawn Porter, Adrien Broner and Danny Garcia.

Though Granados (21-8-3 with 15 KOs, 1 No Contest) wasn't able to defeat any of those aforementioned fighters, he'll use that ring experience against Benn, who is seven years his junior.

The headline for this is Lara vs Warrington 2. Benn vs Granados on the undercard. Think Ebanie Bridges will get added too.

It's all the same lol. They are both good fights

Yeah it doesn’t matter at all, just saying incase anybody missed it as when it’s getting advertised or comes up on the schedule will say Warrington vs Lara 2 not Benn vs Granados so may miss it or get confused. And yeah should be good, adding the Benn fight on just makes the card stronger.

Important fight for Warrington, if he loses again he’s gonna miss out on a lot of opportunities and may even consider his future as he may not want to work his way back up. If he wins they may try to make Warrington vs Leigh Wood or Emanuel Navarrete. The power of Lara bothered him in that first fight, can’t get hit that easy this time if he wants to win. Probably will be a sell out crowd too by the time of the fight.

Warrington vs Lara 1 was brutal, Warrington showed great heart to continue as long as he did but Lara’s power really caused him issues. Will be interesting how he approaches the next fight, tactically and mentally.

Can Warrington resort to his boxing to beat Lara? Will be interesting, cause if he goes in there with his natural swarming style he probably gets caught again.
Benn should get past og Granados I think after Formella and Samuel Vargas this is a good next step in his career.

This is the interesting question, he’s a volume puncher but then staying in range leaves him potentially vulnerable to counters and trading generally. And if Lara lands he’s shown he can hurt him quite bad, I’ve heard Lara has genuine power too so not just a one off power wise although Warrington did look flatter than he usually does.

He may have underestimated Lara and the battle he could be in, think he was looking beyond that fight mentally. He’s also used to fighting with crowds and gets particularly motivated by a crowd but this was a pandemic one with no crowd in the first fight.

The advantage he does have is foot speed so if he can throw accurately but with caution to make sure he gets out ok he could win on points but if they trade up lots it could happen again, Lara seems to clearly have the power advantage.

I'm very :patrice: concerning Ebanie Bridges. As a boxer she's ok. Her looks selling the fight is not for me. I've seen better looking US black and brown female fighters. Eddie is milking her looks for sales but it's like Dave Allen. Hasn't set the world alight but somehow keeps making the way on these cards. Yet he's given up Marshall and Jonas to Sky.

Ebanie is cool, it isn’t just the looks though of course it plays a role, she’s done a tremendous job of self promotion, she’s put in a graft to promote herself and carve out the opportunities she has, it may seem like they were just handed to her from the outside but they weren’t. She even travelled to Leeds previously as she’s a supporter of them, met fans, went to local gyms and was at the stadium, it’s logical they’d bring her back there to be on the card.

Matchroom wanted Caroline Dubois but she chose Boxxer/Sky. Not sure Natasha Jonas is officially gone yet, last I heard she was waiting for a date from Matchroom. She’s a good boxer and I hope she gets pushed and gets another world title shot.

I think Ebanie performed very well when she was given the chance, she had a very entertaining fight against Courtenay and kept fighting through a massive eye injury (I had her winning the fight), second Matchroom fight she got a knockout, think it was 3rd round. Some other good fighters didn’t stop her opponent. So she’s doing her part, she’s not the technician Katie Taylor is but she has power and has a fighters spirit.

Marshall left, I’m sure he would have wanted to keep her, that’s a loss for them. Reading between the lines seems like a fall out between Peter Fury and Eddie Hearn and Marshall went with her team.

She's not selling her looks, she's selling her sex appeal, which is fundamentally different imo. She's found a niche in the game. Not many other female boxers look like 90's pornstars.

She's got the super plasticky centerfold look straight out of Geordie Shore or Love Island or some shyt
