This is being put together by Gobi Rahimi, who directed some of Pac's videos on Death Row. He was filming him for a reality show in the months before he passed and is going to use that footage along with newly shot scenes to make a feature film about the end of Pac's life, including the "7 dayz" from the time he got shot to when he passed away.

"I was waiting for Tupac at club 662 in Las Vegas after the Mike Tyson fight on September 7, 1996. Soon after, I was informed by rapper Nate Dogg that Tupac and Suge Knight had been shot and taken to University Hospital. I immediately rushed there to be by Tupac’s side. This was the first of an emotional 7 days that I sat guard over Tupac who was in an induced coma, riding the line between life and death. 7Dayz is the story of my experience at the hospital amidst death threats, undercover FBI informants and an uncooperative Police Department."
This project has had false starts before, including a failed kickstarter campain a couple of years ago. This time around Gobi has a production team in place, including Preston Holmes, who was involved in the production of Malcolm X, New Jack City, Hustle and Flow, Juice, Gridlock'd and Tupac: Resurrection.
