if i remember correctly the 5x5 routine is generally recommended for beginners who are still able to make those beginner gains... Listen to your body, you know if you can knock out the extra 5lbs for the week or not

i did the program and i gotta say it got me in pretty good shape but i was a beginner. 5 pounds every session started to get hard on squats around the time i passed 1.2 bodyweight. for 5x5. like other people said, listen to your body and keep your mind sharp on form. when it starts to feel heavy, good form will actually help you bang out those extra reps without injuring yourself. eat and sleep well and you should be straight.

5 x 5 is good for strength but don't expect to build as much mass as if you did a bodybuilding style. Strength =/= Mass

How could I build mass then while also doing intense cardio? Trying to become a pro wrestler.

For myself I found working out 4 days a week split was best;

Monday: Chest/Triceps 12-14 sets 8-12 reps
Tuesday: Back 16-18 sets 8-12 reps
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: Shoulders/Triceps 10-12 sets No less than 12 reps on side laterals
Friday: Legs/biceps 16 sets 8-12 reps
Sat: off
Sun: off

You could do cardio on the three off days

That bench :noah:

That deadlift tho :pachaha:

IMO your numbers are too high to benefit from a noob program like Stronglifts 5x5. Look up some intermediate programs like 5/3/1, Texas Method, Cube Method, etc.

I've been running the Candito 6 week program for the past 4 months now with some decent results. I would recommend this one to you personally. A few of my friends have run it as well and enjoy the program as well.
