50 Cent has been called out by Supreme McGriff‘s son Kenneth McGriff Jr. who has said the rap legend should pay his family royalties.
On Thursday (October 31), 50 sat down for a chat with Ebro In The Morning where he commented: “This kid thinks I’m hot cause of Preme. Nobody know who that is outside the five boroughs.”
McGriff Jr. — whose father infamously feuded with 50 Cent in the early 00s before the drug lord was sentenced to life in prison — shared a clip of the interview on Instagram, along with a video of himself responding to the G-Unit boss’ comment.
“How can you say Preme is not the reason for your success?,” he says. “Your storyline in the industry was guy gets shot nine times, he lives. That’s like a movie script. So of course people are going to buy into your story, you were the underdog but you was scared of them. You was scared of Jimmy [Henchman], you was scared of my pops. You was scared of Lil Kim’s baby father.”
The younger McGriff continues: “You were talking nobody knows Preme outside the five boroughs but when I go different states, I get the red carpet. Preme and Jimmy Henchman are a major part of your story, bro.
“They helped catapult you to the next thing cause your songs is trash. All that shyt you did with Jam Master Jay, that was boo boo. You really mad cause Preme wouldn’t fukk with you.”
McGriff Jr. also wrote in the caption: “I can’t even tag this clown because he blocked me. But if Eminem and Dre didn’t sign you absolutely nobody would care about anything you did. The name of your album is called get rich or die trying [laughing emoji].
“I never met somebody who bragged about getting hit. You need to thank preme and murder inc and jimmy henchmen for making your story line. You owe us 30 percent of all royalties you donkey. Ebro didn’t even ask him anything about preme that man live rent free.”
