Aight, we done had some slim pickings lately and this is prolly the lowest turn out so far, but as always the show must go on.

This was the sample that I picked out seeing that the Champ (Clanarchy) has already won twice in a row.

Rules were to flip that sample without using any other type of musical sample. Other than that, it was anything goes.

Judging and Voting will be based on the following
1. Overall creativity
2. How dope the sample was flipped.
3. Structure and Song potential.

With that said here are the combatants.

The Champion @clanarchy who is defending his title for the 2nd time

Tunnel newcomer @Interloper

Tunnel veteran @doublenegative

We appreciate all the voting and feedback we can get. :salute:

Clanarchy's beat was the most creative, but Interloper flipped the sample the best so I voted for him.

Double negative's beat was dope too.

I loved the way you flipped the sample. Your Intro, Verse Parts, and chorus parts all had great transitions. It got mellow and then picked up when it needed too with the drum tracks. The Drums really took it over the top for me cause it is a different form the norm but the way you structured the beat it all works. Dope beat.

Double Negative
Nice flip of the sample. It had that uptempo summer vibe to me. Drums and percussion worked great. I could hear Q-tip all over it. Did you turn down the pitch of the vocals on it or is that another part of the sample when it switched up? It kinda threw me of a lil bit. I fukked with it though.

Clanarchy
Damn this shyt was dope. Loved how you, in my opinion, gave the sample a dark meancing vibe with that bassline. I could Rae and Ghost tag teaming this one to death. Drums were on point too. Great work fam. You probably go the sample chops out of the sample in this battle IMO.

In the end I gave my vote to Clanarchy. I had to go back and forth with him and Interlooper a couple times cause they were both dope but Clan had me vibing more. I loved the dark feel he gave that sample.

Thanks for the in depth listen, yeah I just wanted to really turn the whole vibe of the original on its head. Thanks for the vote.

The Champ will pick the next sample, but I'm going to fall back for a week with posting up these challenges. I been mad busy as of late and from the number of recent submissions I've been getting, it looks like I'm not the only one.

I'll post up the beats for Original Theme Challenge 2morrow, but then after that I'm taking a lil break from the challenges.
